Founded in 2020 by Elena Motalkina, Little Flower Creative Floral Design was born out of a love for floral design. Mere weeks, though, after signing the lease on her first retail space, the world shut down. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, when many were unable to be with their loved ones in person, Elena gained an even deeper understanding of how meaningful flowers could be to offer solace and support. During this time, she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of sympathy work.

With over a decade of experience as a florist, Elena’s journey began with a certificate course at Longwood Gardens and blossomed from there. Over the years, she honed her craft while working in some of the area's top retail flower shops, learning everything from designing bridal bouquets to scheduling deliveries. Owning her own flower shop has fulfilled a life-long dream, and now, she’s thrilled to present Sympathy by Little Flower, a division of Little Flower solely dedicated to sympathy work.

When she’s not crafting beautiful floral designs, Elena enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, their dog, Measha and the shop cat, Kiki. Outside of work, Elena loves tackling home projects and relaxing at the beach with her family.
